...and yes!!!today was the day...!!the day of the deadline for my final project..what a big relief it was...totally it was..hehehe..had put a lot of effort to it...here are the final outcome that i had made throughout the pain-staking and hardworking and sleepless nyts....and if you guys were wondering what this project is about..its actually called 'the mapping of the year'..where we were told to produce a map that reflects our experience and skills that we have gained this year...so yea..here is my final outcome..and below is the actual explanation that i've made where i put it on the black board wall on my studio space..the result alum kluar..will soon;)...*doa doa saya...*
.. For this final project, I have done various experimentations where from there I decided to produce this kind of map where it reflects on the work that I have produced this year and the direction I would like to take in the near future. The back of the shirt shows the six main key skills I have gained and improved throughout this year that was colored with six different shades of colors as these keys were showed onto five different dots where I quantified each and every dot. Furthermore, the thickness of the colored lines shows the effort and the skills that I had made for each and every part of the previous projects where it started to thicken progressively from the very beginning up until now and then. And the positions for each of the iconic projects were sited in a linear graph manner where it shows how it was judged and interpreted it by others as it were seen the way each of the icons were designed differently such as the flower-like icon were in a torn condition as it represent that I did not get good grades from it. The pockets that I have sewn onto the shirt are where I put the materials that I usually used throughout this year that gives out my thoughts and ideas into reality.
Other than that, I designed the wordings that were inverted where it is readable once were seen on a mirror with me wearing it as this is a way to communicate to myself to see and reflect how much and far I had been throughout this year. With the reason for me to produce a map on a shirt is because I wanted to show the kind of a designer I would like to be specialized in and that is as a customized designer where the reason why to become one; it creates a way to communicate to the public and also to the user whether in a form of directly or indirectly way where I find it interesting. From achieving it, I too put the word ‘DESIGNER’ on the top front of the shirt as it shows that to become part of it would have to achieve and gained from the six given main keys. Such project that I would like to improvise it better than before would be the Super Ordinary project where I was unable to achieve good grades from it. For this project, I feel I would have done more research and understand the terms of it to be able to produce a less abstract outcome.
