these pictures were taken when I had my Manufacturing class...and we were taught how to make woods bendy....
...mann...it was fun...!!!=D
....on top of this first picture shows a powdered glue which you have to add a bit of water while mixing it until it looks goo-ey enough to use for attaching wood with wood...However, the powdered glue is very dangerous to health as it may cause internal lung diseases if we always get in contact with it....so yea, an advice to keep in mind ;)
...and this is the G-clamp...this is for clamping down for securely attach onto the table or onto the designed objects...
...this is one thin wood material which you can actually bend it easily....so yea, we were told to attach them together with the powdered glue onto three thin strips of wood....
...so, after gluing them carefully...we clamp them together...and send em' off to the heated oven to dry it up sooon...=))....and the wooden thick block is called the former where it gives a form or a shape to the wood when it is glued...there were various types of formers in the workshops though...

...so yea, I was soo into gluing and clamping...so I too tried on my second round by clamping it on the table...however, it dried pretty slow compared to the ones that were put in the oven*DOH*...hehehe...
...While wating for our bendy woods to dry...we were brought into another side of the room in the workshop...where we were taught on how to bend by using different technique which is called the vacuumed bender...i think thats what it is called...but anyways, it was all about the air sucked out from this huge bag and the wood inside then forms n bends with the former inside...

.....yeay~ after waiting...it had dried...and it certainly got bended by the former...perfecto'!!!
...I then make it smooth with the use of sandpaper...
...so yea, if you looked closely, the wood had slowly followed the former below it...
...some of my and others work...
...and finally, I made this one......well, I was wanting to design a fork...but changed my mind to make a comb...but then again...both of the object that I want to make it happened doesn't seem to fit with the given outcome...hehehe..
