...on my second term...
...I got myself in the casting class...
...and I really do enjoyed it...
...on our very first session...our tutor taught us about the whole aspects about casting, the steps and some important safety tips when casting something...=))
...so,here on top is a picture showing some examples that were done by other students...
....Our tutor then taught us how to deal the whole process carefully...

...and let us all do it by ourselves...
so,here was my very first try...took a bit of clay and mold out a random shape...

...after molding it out carefully without any obstructions from getting any under-cuts...we then make walls along our mold...and securely close them together with clay...

...like this =)

...and move onto making the mold...
....he carefully pour out a good amount of powdered mold into a bucket...

...and add water bit by bit...
...then mix it well with a hand and make sure the hand should be right at the bottom of the bucket and mix it in a swirley motion...

...it took awhile for the mold to get into its texture...

...just looove looking at one of the students work...cool right??

...after getting that perfect texture that we want the mold to be...he then showed us how to carefully it pour down....

...and filled them up...

...when there's extras...or when the mold gone too thick...he poured down the extras onto this glass plate...

...and let us put our hands onto the mold...just for fun~=)

...then let it dry up...!!

...another examples what we can do with the molds...
...like we can actually design those like frames along the edges of the living rooms we have in most Brunei's homes...

....we let the mold settle down and cool..

...in fact, its not cooled...but was pretty warm...its like as if it generates heat..!!awesome mann...
so yea, when its 'cooled'....we then removed the walls carefully like this...

...and here, you can actually see the mold I have made...which I then removed it..

...other molds were done too...
...more to come about my casting class sessions...
;)
