...for our third session in my casting class...we were taught how to overcome some undercuts and how to make a replica of another object like a vase perhaps..=)
..here,our tutor showed us how these two plaster can cast a replica of another of that original object...

..this was another way to make a half way cast..using wood as to guide the half way of the object..
..for the first step, we were told to cover the object we chose halfway around it with clay and make sure its smooth and roughly straight and not too bumpy...

...This is my object I chose..a toy spoon I borrowed it from my lil' cousin...hehehe..thought it is easy to have it for my class..
...so yea, this is how it looks like...cover up half way of the spoon with clay...

...and carefully smoothen it up like this...the top part that is shape in a cork shape is to make a way for the mold to flow in for the next session...

...after making the clay smooth and straight...we then covered it securely with our borads that we have made in our second session...

...and then...pour down the plaster carefully around the object and let it dry...

...after it dries up...we take it out like this...=))

...and put back the spoon onto the first molded cast and add the cork shape the same place as the first one...

..and add down this oil base onto the cast to make sure the next pouring down of the plaster will not stick against the other first plaster...

...and let it dry up...=)

...some used other objects...one of my friend did used a bagel...and her sesame seeds were like sticking inside her plaster...mann~

...here, I carefully removed the frame boards...

....and carefully separate the second plaster with the first one...

...so,this is how it looks like...our very first casting mold..a place to mold out another replica for our next session...
SOooOOOOoo...stay tune!!!;)
