....for my next second session in my Casting class...we were told to bring an object to use it for this session...
...on top of this picture...we were taught how to actually make the frames where we will put inside our object and also where we will pour down the mold...
...the machine above is the bending machine...where it bends these steel for the frames...

...the steels to hold around the frame to make a four-sided shape...

...and this is how the bended steel looks like and being drilled down carefully with a hands-free driller...

...and after drilling the steel down...we ought to put it like this to make sure it is perfect with no gaps in between the edges...

....we then moved down from the metal workshop to the casting workshop to start our work...here, I brought along a comb...and there were however some undercuts...meaning,areas that are not straight with curvy area...
...so, we have to cover them up with clay like as you see here..

...after covering up the undercuts...I then closed it with the frames I've made just now...scurely and fastened...

...not to forget, applying some clay around the outside of the frames to prevent any leakage when pouring down the mould...

...after pouring down the mold...=))
...then we have to wait for awhile to let it cool and dry...

....and one of my friend used an orange...how cool was that??!!! =D
...but mind you...it was a bit soggy...because both the mold and the orange contains liquid...and so,there were some areas along the mold were not dry because of the orange...but it still looked damn cool mann...;)

...after the mould gone pretty quite hard...we then carefully removed them from our wooden frames and carefully removed it...

...and this is how it looks like ;)
..plus!! it was warm...

...so,in order to get my comb out...I have to rinse it under warm water to get rid of the clay and to let bubble to go underneath the comb so that I can remove it easily...

...remember about my first class session guys??hehehe...so yea, it was kinda dry...and so, we carefully poured down the clay mould carefully down onto our moulds..

...then after waiting it for some few minutes..you then put the mold in an upside-down way like what you see here...to remove extra clay mould as we only want the ones that covers the area around the mould...=))
